We had a great stay in this lovely little town. The staff even recommended places to eat and explore, and one of them could speak Mandarin, which was a nice surprise. Our room was huge and came with local treats, including spring water, coffee from a local roaster, and sweets made in a neighboring town. We liked those sweets enough to drive to Budouya and buy some as omiyage.

Minamo in Ukiha was the perfect place to slow down after a few hectic days in Tokyo. We came because a close friend from Canada is from a nearby town, but the stay itself became a highlight of our Japan trip and a place we’ll always remember fondly. Sayuri welcomed us and showed us around the room, and we felt at ease right away. The machiya was beautiful, inside and out, with so much care in the details. The team made the stay feel personal and looked after us while we explored the area. We hadn’t realized how much we needed a chance to relax until we got there. Thank you, Sayuri and Haruka, for making it such a memorable visit. If you want a peaceful place to unwind and notice the small details, I’d recommend it.

The room at Minamo was easily my favorite place of the whole Japan trip. It was gorgeous, with a lovely look and far more space than I expected for the reasonable price. The receptionist was also so kind, and I really appreciated the care and effort they put in for us. Thanks for making the trip more enjoyable. Highly recommend :)
