The outdoor bath was a highlight, with a perfect temperature and a really relaxing feel. Staff were generally great and very helpful, and the bar and pool room made the visit enjoyable too. It’s a western-style onsen, with beds instead of futons and western-style breakfasts. Check-in was a little odd: the hotel manager insisted on confirming my nationality even though my Japanese partner had booked the room. That had never happened to us as a group before.

We chose this hotel for our first wedding anniversary and my wife’s birthday, and were very satisfied. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was wonderful, and the staff took great care of us. It’s a prestigious “the japanese classic hotel.” The drive from Nagasaki Airport takes about 1 hour 30 minutes. There’s also a free limousine bus, but you need to request it from the hotel.
