Kizuna no Ie

Really, it was worse than I expected.

When my son was moving, I suddenly had nowhere to stay, so I booked at the last minute. The owner was really friendly and even drove me to a nearby hot spring and back in his luxury car. I got to relax properly. I meant to leave a note when I checked out, but I wanted to say thank you here. It'd be perfectly fine to stay alone, too. If I'm in this area again, I'll definitely come back. Thank you so much.

The futon was damp, the toilet smelled bad, and the Wi-Fi didn't work in my first-floor room. Used dishes were left on the table in the common area, apparently after the owner's own meals, and the shared refrigerator was full of his personal things. When I came back at night, the owner, a man, was asleep in the common area. That made me uncomfortable. I don't know the details, but, as some booking site reviews have said, his wife seems to be struggling with the housework. Disappointing.

It's a peaceful, really pleasant place. Too bad the person there doesn't seem interested in meeting people, or especially in cleaning.
