The friendly staff were helpful, and the free shuttle to the bus station was handy. The signature sightseeing spot wasn’t far to walk to. Book ahead if you need the shuttle or want a paid massage. Our room was clean and large, and the onsen had both indoor and outdoor baths. The self-serve coffee corner was nice. Toothbrushes and other items are available on the lobby floor, and they encourage you to reuse what you have to be greener. Breakfast was tasty and came in a good portion, but they wouldn’t let us take away what we couldn’t finish, even though we’d paid for it.

I went to the rooftop onsen, and it was fine, with hardly anyone there. Breakfast was a delicious Japanese set meal, and the staff gave very friendly service that really impressed me. The staff’s service attitude overall was alright. The hotel has been operating for many years and may be old, but it looked neat and clean.

We booked the pricier dinner and breakfast options and were completely happy with them. The food was amazing. The rooftop and basement onsens were nice, with great water, and you can rent the private onsen. That was a highlight for sure.

The dinner and breakfast plan is worth taking. The traditional Japanese meals include Saga beef, which was absolutely delicious. There are baths on the rooftop and in the basement. The rooftop bath has washing stations with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, plus one open-air bath. The basement baths offer more products, including a shampoo bar. Private baths and day bathing are available as well.
