The view from room 202 was breathtaking, and the futon was comfortable for two. We had a simple takeout dinner at the quaint dining set overlooking the river, and the front-lady kindly brought us wine glasses. The room itself was perfect, with everything neat and fresh. Staff were kind and accommodating from check-in through check-out. You can reserve a private bathroom, though sharing the toilet and sink was a little inconvenient, especially in the morning. Being right beside the river means insects can get in through the window, so take care before bed. Still, so happy we stayed here. It made our time in Ureshino joyful! We also saw lots of cute cats nearby. Love, love, love this place. Deserves more stars! 🥰

The hotel is peaceful both day and night, and Siebold's footbath and several restaurants are an easy walk away. There are only a few rooms, so while we were there we had the male and female onsen to ourselves. No reservation is needed to use them. Toilets are outside the rooms, as is the separate area for brushing your teeth.

The room had no toilet or bath, but the price made that acceptable. The hot spring was good, and breakfast was OK. There was English-speaking staff.

Foreigners are very welcome here, and tattoos are fine at this onsen. The Ibsen was lovely and clean, had great hours, and was well located.
