The onsen water was a real highlight for me. I had dermatitis on my legs before we arrived, and it seemed to help it heal faster. We stayed on December 30 and booked the 75-square-meter room, which felt very spacious. Although I’d heard there could be bugs in the semi-open-air bath, our room was on the fourth floor above the trees and we didn’t have any trouble. The staff were attentive from the parking lot onward. At check-in they served tea and snacks, then walked us to the room and explained everything. Dinner with Saga beef was excellent. Since it was my wife’s birthday, the hotel arranged a tasty strawberry cake from a local shop and surprised us with an Arita-yaki bowl as a gift. Great service and healing water. I’d highly recommend it.

Akiko, our server, was wonderful, and we liked the newly renovated room, spacious bath, free-flowing spa, and good-sized tub. The bathroom had no heating, though, which made getting undressed and using the bath really uncomfortable. There was a note explaining the lack of heat, but I still wondered why they couldn’t provide a standalone electric heater. The meals didn’t impress us, and at dinner they didn’t serve the soup that should come with a bowl of rice. I’ve never encountered that before. There wasn’t even a teapot in the room, despite the area’s tea farms. It also felt like there were far too many staff. I’d rather see enough people to serve adequate meals than so many people bowing.

I know people usually only read one-star reviews, but this felt like a six-star hot spring hotel to me. The room was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly, and the food was tasty, especially the hot spring tofu. A really cozy place to relax. Highly recommended 👍👍👍👍👍👍

I would’ve liked a public outdoor bath, but I still enjoyed the stay. The room was modern, quiet, spacious, and very comfortable, and the service was excellent. The food was good too.
