There are only two bedrooms and four beds, and the walls are so thin that you hear everything. The curtains don’t block the light, either. By 6 a.m. the room is already bright, even though the listing’s bedroom photo was taken with the curtains shut. There’s no reason to stay here for the beach: there aren’t any nearby, just an industrial port, and the one beach you can get to is awful.

I came with my family, and the quiet neighborhood made for a relaxing stay. We could walk to restaurants and convenience stores, and the beach was about a 3-minute drive away.

The accommodation fee was refunded and I did get an apology by email, but that didn’t undo how the day was thrown away. I had to apologize to the people staying with me because we couldn’t stay, and the people meeting us were inconvenienced too. I wish someone in charge would recognize how much trouble this caused and offer a proper personal apology instead of a template. Today I got a message through the booking site saying they wouldn’t contact us about it again. I don’t see what else I can do, so I’m leaving this review. I booked for September 13th through a hotel reservation website. When I arrived, the key wasn’t in the key box. I asked about it, then went to a nearby izakaya for dinner while I waited. During dinner I got an email saying they had no reservation for me, other guests were already there, and I needed to move my car quickly. We explained that we had a reservation number and pleaded that we had nowhere to stay, but the hotel kept passing us around and telling us to contact the booking site. That wasted more time. The booking site's customer service tried hard to find a nearby hotel, but nothing was available that night, and we ended up sleeping rough. The next day, the management company emailed to say it had processed the cancellation. I then found out it hadn’t updated its system with the reservation, which caused a double booking. Knowing it was an error by the outsourced management company made me even angrier. I asked for a proper apology, but the phone never rang. Taking my frustration out on the booking site's customer service wasn’t going to help, so I gave up. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at, and the service showed no sincerity at all.

I was here for work. Being in a residential neighborhood meant it was quiet and peaceful, which was great. It’s also handy for getting to the highway interchange, and there’s a convenience store nearby.
