The location worked really well for us, with lots of restaurants nearby and the station only a five-minute walk away. The room is small, but that’s Japan, and it was quite clean with everything I might need. The staff were super nice and brought us supplies each day without bothering us. There’s a 24-hour laundromat, though it costs extra, along with breakfast and food for an additional charge, plus a convenience store.

The staff really stood out to me. Everyone I met was friendly in a natural way, never over the top. The renovated rooms are pretty nice, with a lot more space and a better fit, so I’d suggest paying a few dollars extra instead of booking the cheapest room and then complaining. The hotel is super old, probably the oldest I’ve stayed in, though I can imagine it was one of the top hotels decades ago. There’s even a convenience store and karaoke in the building. My main complaint is how thin the walls and windows are. Though it’s off the Main Street, I could hear cars from there and the signal. Luckily, I didn’t hear any trains.

The hotel is ancient, and although the rooms have been renovated, they still feel quite dank. There are much better places to stay closer to the station.

The hotel is pretty close to the train station, which was handy. The rooms are quite large, though a little old and still okay. The lifts, though, are tiny. Four people with their luggage can barely fit.
