Yaese Hotel

The room had plenty of space, but it didn’t feel properly cleaned. There were only enough towels for one night, so I had to wash and dry them in the machine each time, which was a hassle. It might work for a one-night stay, but for several days exploring Okinawa, I’d consider somewhere else.

It’s an apartment-style room, and the bed and bathroom were clean, which put me at ease. There was a washing machine, microwave, and refrigerator. Parking is limited to a few spaces in a small lot, and there aren’t many restaurants within walking distance, just a nearby 7-Eleven for convenience stores. There’s no check-in counter since the place is unmanned, so you check in on a tablet.

The room was quite clean, and for the low price I suppose it was about what I expected. Parking is tight and hard to manage, so take care if you’re not confident behind the wheel. The reviews said there was only shampoo and body soap, and that turned out to be right. The kitchen isn’t really for proper cooking, more for heating things up. That’s Okinawa, “Nankuru nai sa!” (Everything will be alright!)

Checking in through email and a tablet was easy, and the place stayed quiet at night. I barely noticed any noise from the neighbors, so it was comfortable. The room was clean, and while the amenities were basic, I had what I needed. There were plenty of supermarkets, convenience stores, and restaurants nearby. I just wish cleaning supplies had been provided. I’d happily stay again.
