The spacious dining area meant I could get the free breakfast without waiting, and it was tasty too. My room felt bigger than most and had a table, so it was easy to relax there. Parking is free and there’s plenty of it. About 20 minutes by car from Morioka city, with a large supermarket right across from the hotel for picking up dinner. There are ramen places and Italian restaurants nearby as well. The Wi-Fi was fast enough for online meetings without any hassle. A handy place to stay if you’re traveling by car.

The mountain views were beautiful, and I was happy with the service, breakfast, and onsen. I’ll definitely come back and recommend this hotel.

Being able to check how busy the bath and breakfast area were on the TV in my room was really useful. Breakfast times had to be selected because it could get crowded, but there were plenty of seats in the dining area. I barely had to wait for an elevator, with three of them available. Since the hotel is in front of the university hospital, I was a little concerned about ambulance noise, but I only noticed it once. The room had shampoo and conditioner, and I was glad to find a shampoo bar downstairs with several types to choose from.

The bath was clean and the facilities still felt new, which made it easy to unwind. There’s a lock on the bath, and I could check how busy it was from my room. I was staying because I wanted to be present for surgery at Iwate Medical University. If you book on the official website or call the hotel directly, you can get a hotel discount voucher at the medical university reception. Breakfast included local dishes like Iwaizumi yogurt and taro and mentaiko salad. They kept replenishing the food, and it was tasty and good value. I’d stay here again if I get the chance.
