After a hike, the hot spring was the standout for me. I’d heard it ranks second in Japan for beautiful skin, and the view from it was lovely. We had a memorable family stay at Samana Hotel Yakushima. The room was cozy, the beds comfortable, and the view stunning. We also enjoyed relaxing by the ocean and eating the tasty buffet, especially the desserts. The staff were friendly without making too much of a fuss. Thanks for a great family trip. I’d recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Yakushima! 😄

The views from throughout the hotel were unbelievable, and the onsen had an especially lovely one. Our room was spacious, beautiful, and comfortable. The staff were so kind, and breakfast was great. Everything was perfect. Thank you!

The food was the real highlight. We’re vegetarians, and both the breakfast and dinner had impressive variety and quality. I think meat eaters would be happy too. We’ve rarely eaten this well while traveling. Thanks to the head chef and kitchen team. On our last day we had to catch an early ferry and couldn’t eat breakfast at the hotel, so they kindly prepared bento boxes for both breakfast and lunch on the road. We were two couples staying three nights with half board. The seaside setting, rooms, and atmosphere were beautiful, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. We wholeheartedly recommend the hotel and would love to return to Yakushima. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Samana Hotel on Yakushima. The hotel is beautiful and looks out over the ocean. If you’re lucky, you might spot humpback whales from the deck. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and the buffet restaurant had plenty of Japanese and Western options. I’d highly recommend it.
