The food was all delicious, and the portions were huge. It’s a great place for a lunch break while skiing in Zao, with a really good atmosphere that I didn’t find elsewhere nearby. You order and pay at a machine, take a ticket, then wait. It was pretty full, likely because the amount of food for the price is so good for Japan. I waited 20-30 minutes, but it’s the place to go when you get hungry on the slopes.

I only tried the restaurant while skiing in Zao. Lunch was really good, and the unlimited drinks made me happy. I drank a lot of hot chocolate.

I’m just so happy here. The snow, the wooden building, the fireplaces all around, even the smell and warm feeling of the place made it beautiful. The interior architecture is lovely and so thoughtfully done. Being here makes me feel grateful and amazed that I’m alive and able to experience it. The staff were hospitable and helpful. I don’t understand how this place gets called a “2-star” hotel. It’s ski in ski out, and you can rent equipment from their well stocked supply. The owner picked us up at the cable car on a COOL snowmobile. I wish I could stay here every day.

We had a fun ride to the inn in a snow car, and the staff were very friendly. This is a beautiful Japanese hostel in a wood cabin style, with great service and very good food, especially breakfast. The common area is a lovely spot to sit by the fire with a drink. I didn’t fully relax, though, because so many tourists with small kids were running around on the wooden floor all the time. The bathroom was also very small and always crowded.
