We spent two nights at Jurin Hotel with our three children, and it worked out wonderfully for our family of five. Our suite was about 50 sqm, spacious and comfortable, and the hotel felt calm, clean, elegant, and well maintained. The meals and onsen were excellent. Breakfast and dinner were buffets, with a different menu each day, and the food was delicious and nicely presented. There was also a Saki and wine section. We could use the onsen before check-in and after check-out, which made our timing much easier. The hotel is ski-in/ski-out, and the shuttle could pick us up or drop us off within about 10 minutes. Staff were exceptionally friendly, and having people who spoke Chinese and English made communication easy. The washing machines were a great help with children. We’d happily return and recommend it to families or anyone wanting a refined, relaxing stay with good service.

I booked two months ahead expecting a proper ski-in/ski-out stay, but the first room faced a building with a cracked wall and looked directly into the neighboring room. That was disappointing and not what I expected. After changing rooms, I realized I’d left an unopened drink in the refrigerator and called shortly afterward. I was simply told it hadn’t been found. I wonder if they’d have responded the same way had it been an expensive bottle of wine rather than packet fruit juice. It left me concerned about housekeeping and how lost items are handled. I know it’s a busy season, but guests pay premium rates and arrive with high expectations. The hospitality didn’t match that. I hope the hotel doesn’t rely just on its peak-season location and continues the excellent hospitality Takamiya group is known for.

A true ski-in/ski-out hotel right on the slopes. Dinner and breakfast were both great, and the onsen felt wonderful after skiing. Best of all, there’s ski rental right at the hotel, so you don’t have to go anywhere. Perfect ✨

Our package clearly said dinner and unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were included. The first night, food and drinks were served without any problem. On the second night, staff said the plum wine was out of stock, which was hard to accept since we’d seen a new bottle opened the night before and only about one-third had been used. That same bottle was then kept away from us. If unlimited drinks are advertised, withholding stock that’s available and saying it’s unavailable doesn’t seem reasonable. It contradicts what “unlimited” means and felt misleading. When we raised it, staff offered no explanation or solution and told us to “complain however we want.” We found that disrespectful and highly unprofessional. We didn’t waste any food or drinks. We simply expected the package benefits to be honored fairly and consistently. I hope management investigates, reviews staff conduct, and clarifies the unlimited-drinks policy so this doesn’t happen to future guests. Guests deserve transparency, respect, and the service they were promised.

The onsen was great, with cozy vibes, helpful staff, nice dinners, and easy access to the slopes for true ski-in/ski-out. The cafe hours were confusing, though: the sign said it was open, but staff would say it was closed. Getting into town is a little difficult if you want to go out. The ski storage area also seemed odd and geared toward renters, with nowhere to put clothes or a helmet.
