The manager made this a great stop on my cycling trip. I’d just arrived on my bike and was looking at the place when a man on a motor scooter came over and asked if I was “my name.” He was expecting me, let me check in two hours early, then recommended a dinner spot, booked it for me, and drove me there. There was plenty of room, everything looked neat, and I could keep my bike in the room, which was one less thing to worry about. The bath is on the fourth floor, with a decent view of Fuji when the sky is clear. I’d definitely recommend the place to cyclists and hope to come back someday.

Amano-san was the highlight for me. He knows the good spots for photos and was ready to drive guests there himself. The hotel also has nice facilities and a great public bath with a view of Fujisan. Yamanakako is within walking distance, and it’s a great place to stay for those visiting for Fujisan’s stunning views.

We brought a group of about 30 elementary school children for a winter weekend, staying one night with two meals. Our main building rooms and facilities were old, but we weren’t cold or inconvenienced, and the food was enough. For a big group staying on a Saturday, I thought it was good value for the time. There are around four shared washing machines and electric dryers, all free, though they’re old and kept outside. With no drying area, we hung the clothes in our room.

The staff were very kind. I stopped by on my motorcycle for a day trip to the hot springs, and being able to use the baths early in the morning was a big help.

I come here for a hot spring day trip during the New Year holidays. It’s quiet and relaxing, just right for a holiday. The facilities are very clean, the bath was restful, and the owner was friendly and kind.
