We had a nice dinner at the restaurant, and the Plum Whiskey was amazing. If you try it and find out where to buy it, please let me know! It would be great with cheese, or as a dessert whiskey, and even people who aren’t usually whiskey fans should give it a try. Our mattresses were super comfy, and the staff were very kind. Thanks for the stay, Almeria. Our little chalet room was quiet, with Mt. Fuji peeking through the trees. It was a lovely place for a night walk or star photography. There were cute touches around the lobby and bar, including origami flowers and characters. The room might feel even more connected to the surrounding trees with a bit of greenery inside. I gave three stars because of two things. We had to pass reception every time we went in or out, which made us feel like we were under constant surveillance. Also, the toilet and bidet plumbing blocked and overflowed after only two uses, even though we were there for just one night. We also tried to go to the local lantern festival, but traffic was completely at a standstill and we had to give up. If you’re going to a local festival in the future, get there very early and expect a long drive back to your accommodation.

The Luna onsen was a really relaxing part of the stay, and I even spotted a deer in the morning, which made it feel extra special. The hotel had a cute, cozy atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Our full-course meal was outstanding, and the staff were professional throughout. Thanks for such warm hospitality and a wonderful visit. I’d love to come back with my family.

The breakfast was modest, but the hotel was comfortable and the private onsens were clean. You can book one for use once a day. The staff member was helpful with our luggage on the stairs, and even cleared the snow off our car before we drove off in the mornings.

The private onsen being available every day was amazing, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. We also had dinner at the hotel, and the bar looked inviting, though we didn’t get to try it this time. The area was full of fall color, and we could see it right from our room. It was such a quiet, intimate escape from the city. Our room was spacious and comfortable. My boyfriend and I were sad to leave this beautiful hotel, and we’d definitely come back next time we’re in the area. Thanks to the wonderful staff!

The private onsen was a favorite, and the flexible policy was great since early check-in was possible. Almeria feels cozy, spacious, and relaxing, away from the tourists but still close to lovely places to see Fuji-san.
