The traditional food was good. The place is old, but has a warm feeling, and I loved it.

We were so relieved to get the watch back, and really appreciate them keeping it safe for us. The food was great, and the service during meals was lovely. Mt. Fuji looked majestic.

The building and room feel old. When we needed someone at the front desk, we rarely saw them.

We had a tasty dinner and breakfast, even on the least expensive course, which was plenty for us. You can take drinks back to your room in paper cups. I heard that Mt. Fuji can be seen from the window when the weather is clear. The room had been renovated, including the wallpaper, toilet, and sink, and looked lovely. A curtain separates the bathroom area so you can take your time getting ready. A mirror by the entrance would make things more convenient. The large bath is on the same floor as the rooms, so it’s easy to pop in whenever you like. There didn’t seem to be many guests, and each of the four times I went, I had it to myself. It was clean and enjoyable, although it isn’t a hot spring. They provide lotion but not milky lotion. There’s plenty of parking, and getting there was easy since the hotel isn’t on a main road. The small front desk area feels cozy and homey. In the lobby you can help yourself to freshly ground coffee, hot chocolate, amazake, sweets, and hot packs. The weather wasn’t good enough for roasting marshmallows outdoors, so we made them in the lobby on something like a hot plate instead. They were surprisingly good. Games, humidifiers, facial massagers, and other items are available to borrow from the hallway. You write the rental instructions on a whiteboard, and can spend your time freely without staff watching over you. It felt a bit like being at home.

We had such a good visit with our preschooler. The building is a little old, but clean, and the staff were very helpful. Our child had plenty to do, with a spacious play area full of different toys and lots of picture books. They also lend out baby baths, step stools, and children’s tableware. The large public bath has a children’s bath and bath toys in the women’s bath, so our little one could enjoy it without any trouble. Adults can borrow manga and massagers too, which gave us a chance to relax.
