Mizu No Hotel

The staff were attentive, kind, and professional, and the interior design throughout the hotel was stunning. The first floor and other levels were beautifully decorated, with an especially elegant, stylish bar area. You can see how much care went into the details. We stayed in two rooms, one in a traditional Japanese style and one with a Western-style bed and balcony. Both were beautiful, comfortable, and well maintained. The restaurant was another highlight: the traditional shabu-shabu with a French-inspired touch was delicious. There’s a private rooftop onsen with a breathtaking Mount Fuji view, as well as a public onsen for hotel guests. On Saturdays, fireworks across the lake can be seen directly from the windows. It made the stay feel even more special. We had an incredible time, would love to come back, and truly recommend it.

The staff made our stay at Mizno Hotel in Fujikawaguchiko feel special. They were kind, welcoming, and did their best to make us comfortable. When our taxi to the bus station never showed up, a woman from reception quickly drove us herself. Thanks to her, we caught our bus and made our Shinkansen on time. We also enjoyed using the hotel's free electric bicycles to explore the area, including Arakurayama Sengen Park (Arakurayama Sengen Park), and visit the attractions we wanted. Seeing Mount Fuji each morning from the hotel was unforgettable. We had an amazing stay, and would happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting the Fuji area.

Dinner at the restaurant was one of the best meals of our trip. We tried the shabu shabu, and the food and service were world class. It wasn't cheap, but for what you get, it was worth every penny, especially with that view while eating. The hotel also has an onsen and free bikes for exploring the area. We lucked out with a mountain view, and sitting on the balcony was a once-in-a-lifetime moment. The room was spacious by Japan standards. The hotel is right by the lake with a front-row seat to Mt. Fuji, and has a relaxed boutique feel we preferred to a big chain. The staff know their stuff and were on top of everything. Highly recommend it if you’re in the area.

The hotel felt relaxed, with a cosy bar and an amazing library full of English-language books. The location was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. The room itself was a little tired but worked perfectly well. The view would have been amazing if the clouds had lifted, but Fuji stayed hidden.
