The view from the onsen is great, and it was really relaxing up on the mountain. Adults pay 700 yen, including towels and free drinks. I only tried the outdoor bath, and liked it a lot. I went in the morning, so it wasn't too crowded. The shower spaces near the outdoor bath are a little small, but they have everything you need: body soap, shampoo, conditioner, and facial cleanser.

It's a beautiful onsen overlooking the water. Bring a ski pass from the surrounding local areas for a discount. They give you a basket, towels, a free drink, and a cookie when you arrive, and all the amenities are there.
The outdoor bath looks out over the mountains, and the indoor one has lovely timber finishes. The changing rooms and lockers are brand new, and everything was very clean. Towels are provided, so you can show up empty-handed. A wonderful day onsen, and the whole experience felt magical. I can't recommend it enough.
There's something surreal about being naked in -6°C and not feeling cold. With winter air biting outside and the onsen warmth around you, you're suddenly very aware of the moment. Maguse has indoor and outdoor baths, and the outdoor view of the snow-covered mountains is breathtaking. Tattoos are welcome for foreigners, and the entry fee includes face and bath towels. Toiletries and a hairdryer are provided. There isn't an outdoor shower, though, so you have to rinse inside, get dressed, then walk out into the cold before getting into the water.
Great after skiing. The men's side has two outdoor pools in one area, and small tattoos on foreigners were allowed. Cold juice tasted good after a warm soak.
