Fukunoya Ryokan

The proprietress was warm and easy to talk to, and the prices were very reasonable. It has an old Showa-era feel, just steps from Yamatotakada Station on the Kintetsu Osaka Line. The Japanese-style rooms lock, and while the bath and toilet are shared, both were clean. A good option near the station ＼(^^)／

I've stayed here twice. When I checked out, they handed me coffee and a snack, a thoughtful gesture I appreciated. The first time was less comfortable: noise from the TV and footsteps in the narrow hallway woke us, and someone tried our door, apparently thinking the corridor continued through it. On my second stay, the other guests were quiet and it was comfortable. I think how pleasant it is can depend on who else is staying. It's a small inn in a traditional Japanese house, but the rooms do lock.

The place is easy to reach from the station, and the kind landlady made a good impression. The building itself is old, but the baths and toilets have been updated, so I thought it was good value.

It's just a minute from the station, with a convenience store and shopping mall nearby, so getting around is a real plus. The landlady was lovely and the service was good, which made the price feel fair. The building is aging, but my room was clean.
