The old traditional Japanese ryokan room was wonderful, and the temple grounds were lovely to walk around. The staff welcomed us warmly and went out of their way to look after us. We really enjoyed this special place, and the food was amazing.

It's right next to the temple, so it's very quiet and a lovely place to relax. You do need a taxi to get there, but it's worth every penny. Ask at the tourist information desk at the jr station, and they'll help arrange one and give you a taxi voucher to make it cheaper. The owners are the nicest people, and the vegetarian food was delicious. A real oasis for both body and soul. Go to this Ryokan in Japan!

A unique chance to try Japanese temple food, with vegetables in every dish.

The room was good, and the vegetarian dinner set was great. A good option if you want to stay near the temple.
