I was disappointed by how old and poorly maintained the facilities felt. The window in my small single room wasn't shut properly, and I could feel cold air coming through a tiny gap. The hot water started warm at the sink, then turned lukewarm. When I tried to shower, it got even cooler and eventually cold, even though I had only turned on the hot tap. I ended up washing my hair in cold water and couldn't take a shower in that weather. The toilet washlet also only gave cold water. Parking was awkward too. I arrived by car, and the lot beside the entrance fits five cars, including one small car, but the spaces are tight. Even getting two cars in or out takes several maneuvers. There is another lot behind the hotel that may be easier to use. The building looks old from outside, though the location right in front of JR Yasugi Station is convenient. The whole hotel is non-smoking. This was my first stay. I told the front desk about the problems when I checked out, and all I got was, “Sorry.”
