The low price makes sense, but the room was small and uncomfortable, smelled like a 70s nightclub, and didn’t feel clean. I’ve stayed in hotels all over the world, and this was one of the worst.

I was cycling toward Shikoku in February and stayed one night. The hotel is older, but the service was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve had in Japan. They let me keep my bicycle safely in a back storeroom overnight. I’d happily stay here again.

The old rooms are small, and so is the bed. I couldn’t relax or sleep well, especially in the smoking room, which really needs an air freshener machine. The facilities felt poor.

It’s a small, dated room, but pleasant enough.

Nothing special, but it was reasonable and not bad.
