HOTEL LiVEMAX Yokkaichi-Ekimae

It's a tight room, but you get what you pay for. At least it's clean, and the location is great too.

The separate bathroom and toilet were the biggest surprise for me. It didn't feel cramped like a standard unit bath, and the tub and sink were comfortable to use. I also liked having a spot for my phone and a power outlet beside the bed. At other business hotels, a charger can slip away from the pillow while you're sleeping, but that wasn't a problem here. It was easy to charge and use my phone in bed. Getting to Hotel Livemax was simple: it's right across from Kintetsu Yokkaichi Station, just a straight walk after leaving the station. Liquor Mountain on the first floor makes it an easy landmark. The reception is on the second floor, just past the elevator, and check-in went smoothly. Vending machines and a coin laundry are there too, useful for a short or longer stay. For the price, the station access and practical room setup made this a very satisfying stay. It's my first choice in Yokkaichi, for business or leisure.

We had a comfortable stay and couldn't hear trains or noise from other rooms. The rooms were generally clean, with a separate bathroom and toilet, plus a refrigerator and microwave. The lobby is on the second floor, where staff gave us a thorough explanation of the hotel. There isn't hotel parking, so we used a nearby coin parking lot. Yokkaichi Station is close, and there are lots of restaurants around.

The room was average, fine if all you need is a place to sleep. The in-room microwave was handy, and the station is nearby. But there were rolled-up tissues left around the room, and several hairs in the bathroom and washroom, so it didn't feel very clean.
