Hotel Comento Yokohama Kannai

The public bath is small, but it never got too crowded when I went. Breakfast was absolutely worth it, with one of the best salad bars I've seen: high-quality fresh produce and dressings, and I loved that they had kale. The rooms and shared areas are stylish and really clean, the service is excellent, and it offers great value for the price.

I asked for a quiet room ahead of time, and the one I got was quiet. I wasn't woken by noise from neighboring rooms at night. I ended up very satisfied and would happily choose this hotel again if I need somewhere in the Yokohama area. I stayed by myself in a double room. It may feel a little small for two, but it was just right for me, clean and cozy, and I felt relaxed. I arrived fairly late and brought takeaway, but the table is small, and the only seat is a bench by the window, so the space under the TV isn't useful for eating. The bedding and sanitary items seemed higher quality than at other hotels around this price. If a spa is important to you, this might not be the place. The spa is basic and fairly small, with a large indoor bath, a cold bath, and a sauna, but that was enough for me.

I work as an interior designer, and the hotel's design really caught my eye. The lobby and rooms are beautifully put together, with high-quality finishes throughout. The staff were consistently warm and polite, breakfast from the buffet was delicious, and public transport made it easy to get around Yokohama. A fantastic stay, I'd recommend it!

The hotel is fairly new, so the rooms and facilities feel new and are super clean. Staff are friendly, the public bath is great, the amenities are very nice, and breakfast has a good variety. Getting to Chinatown and the stadium is a convenient 10-15 minute walk, with small shops, restaurants, a Lawson, and a big supermarket two blocks away. A taxi to Daikoku port cost 4,000 yen. The room was an average Japanese room, and our bunk-bed room was fine. The washroom was a little small and lacked storage and hooks. Kensei subway station is a 7-minute walk, but if you come by JR, you have to transfer at JR Yokohama, with a long walk to the transfer point and then three stops to Kensei. That was less convenient for us since we were boarding a cruise with big luggage. It was a very pleasant stay overall.
