The seawall here has a striking view of Mt. Fuji, and it appears in the opening scene of "Our Little Sister": one of the sisters comes out of an apartment building in front of it. The movie stars four gorgeous actresses, Ayase Haruka, Hirose Suzu, Nagasawa Masami, and Kaho. There's a "Caution: Overtopping Waves" sign for good reason. During a typhoon or other storm, waves can spill over the seawall and rush onto the road. They've even been powerful enough to shatter a large window in a house by the sea.

We had a wonderful stay, thanks in part to the great furniture and sound system. Every room faces the ocean, which makes this a truly unusual vacation home, and on a clear day you can see Mt. Fuji. Thank you very much.
