I showed up with hardly any notice and was welcomed like family. We ate, had drinks, and danced :) The place was sparkling clean, and Moriyama san has such a kind, friendly heart. It really felt like home away from home. A rare gem, and I’ll definitely be back. Thanks for the hospitality and the memories, my friends 🍻

Really affordable and clean, and definitely worth a visit. The host is super friendly, and after hearing I was vegan, he even bought me vegan onigiri. Honestly, this was more exciting than a 4-star hotel.

The owner was welcoming and kind, which I appreciated, but I had several problems. He left me alone for two nights in a row without telling me or leaving a note about when he’d be back the next day. I was a woman staying alone, and he said it was “ok” to leave the front door unlocked day and night. That made me feel unsafe. My room could only be locked from the inside, so I couldn’t secure it when going out for dinner. With the owner gone and no communication, leaving meant both my room and the front door would be unlocked, putting my belongings at risk. I didn’t enjoy the lack of communication or safety. Even if an area is considered safe, this isn’t something to do to guests who are new to the area and have valuables. I wouldn’t recommend it. 😞
