The ocean view and quiet surroundings made this a lovely place to stay in Yomitan, whether you’re alone or with a partner. The house itself is great, and the location is hard to beat. The other guests even left me a morning message because I was the last one to wake up. Thanks for being so welcoming. I’d stay here again. Life is a Journey!

The host made me feel welcome from the start. He pointed out nearby shops and a restaurant, then gave me a lift to the bus station when I was leaving. You can lock your room, and the shared areas have everything you need. I’d recommend staying here 🫶

The owner is friendly and helpful, and the location is great. The room and the rest of the place were clean and comfortable, and the price was good. I did notice some ants in my room, and the walls are thin enough that you may hear other guests. It can get loud and there isn’t much privacy. Pros: good price, comfortable room, clean space, friendly owner, great location. Cons: thin walls and some ants.

I stayed at Life is a journey during my time in Okinawa, after traveling from Thailand about six weeks ago. My trip ended five days ago. It’s a four-bedroom house with a shared kitchen, shower, and toilet, and for a cheap room I think it gives you what you pay for. The owner, manubu, welcomed me and showed me around. The listing said washer and dryer were included, but there was an extra charge. The toilet was clean, though the shower and bathtub had visible old dirt and stains. Laundry and baskets were scattered around. My room was big enough for a solo traveler, but the bed was small. The blanket was an XL towel, which was too short for me at 5’11. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for an inexpensive room, but I wasn’t satisfied with the cleanliness overall.
