Route 6 Inn

The room was spacious and comfortable, with its own bathroom, and being in a separate building meant I could enjoy the quiet without noise from neighboring rooms. It felt almost too luxurious for one person, with a double waterbed, sofa, large-screen TV, and a big terrace. From the room, you can catch a view of Nagahama Beach between the buildings. This small inn takes only two groups at a time and sits down an alley. There are no meals on site, but several places are within walking distance, including a delicious Hokkaido restaurant and my favorite cafe for coffee and bagels with a great view. I highly recommend staying a few nights to experience Nagahama's rustic feel.

I was after an affordable place near Yomitan Village in Okinawa Prefecture, and found this hotel! ☝️ It's not fancy, but it was clean, comfortable, and handy. The towels and sheets were especially soft, which made for a comfy stay. I hadn't done my homework and had to buy pajamas, but everything else was great. ☺️

I had such a good stay here last year that I came back for two weeks this year and worked from here. I was a little worried about the Wi-Fi, but it connected without trouble. Getting to unwind on the beach the day after work was wonderful, and the location and surroundings are great. The pool at night is lovely on hot days, too. The double bed is a waterbed, which gave me a sleeping experience I'd never had before. The owner is very kind, and this year they opened a bar and made me a delicious mojito. The resident cat is adorable, too, so there's always something to enjoy. I'm still discovering Yomitan and plan to stay again next year. I'd recommend it for a short visit or a longer stay 🏨

The shared rooftop was a relaxing spot, and my room had a balcony too. I stayed alone for two nights in a second-floor room for two. It felt more like a resort, with a spacious bedroom, bathroom, toilet, and washroom, all facing the ocean from the bedroom and bathroom. There was a large-screen TV with free online videos. Amenities were supplied except for a razor and toothbrush.
