I booked ahead and arrived right at opening, which the staff said is a good idea because this place is popular. I first came because I'd eaten chicken rice, or keihan, many times on Amami Oshima and heard there was a recommended spot on Yoron Island. After a while without keihan, I really enjoyed its mild but flavorful broth. The moringa noodles were good too, with a nice chewy bite. It's a relaxed place to try local food.

The price was much lower than I expected for food this good and a place with such stylish decor. I'd go out of my way to eat here again. The setting makes a strong first impression. Outside has a welcoming island feel, with stone patios and tropical plants typical of Yoron. Inside, there's a huge round glass table resting on slabs of white coral, with a big wooden umbrella in the middle. The windows also frame the greenery nicely. The keihan was presented in colorful bundles arranged like a star. You get rice and broth, then add whichever toppings you want: shredded egg and chicken, mushrooms, pickled ginger, diced spring onion, dried papaya, and maybe something I'm forgetting. Add broth after the toppings to make it porridge-like. I used just a little, since I didn't want rice soup, but it gave the dish a lovely flavor. It was fun to eat that way, and the ingredients were excellent, distinctive, and included locally sourced items. It really tasted like Yoron Island.

We got more than we expected for the price. The room was spacious and clean, with air conditioning, wifi, and the usual comforts of a hotel or inn. Breakfast and dinner were both delightful. Several beaches are within walking distance, and staff can help arrange taxis. There was a decent amount of parking for our rental car, though it might feel tight in the busy summer season. We'd highly recommend staying here.

The interior is nice and the food tastes good. They serve moringo noodles, the green ones, and Yoron’s specialty, Keihan, with pickled vegetables, shredded egg and chicken, rice, and chicken broth. Keihan costs 1300 yen, while the other dishes are around 800 yen. There's Japanese-style seating too if that's what you prefer.

The staff were wonderful, and the food was amazing. The rooms are simple and clean, and the hotel is great value for the money. Thanks for the experience!
