It felt more like an Airbnb than a hotel to me. There’s no receptionist or staff at the counter, so you check yourself in and can’t leave your luggage there. I stayed on the first floor and could hear outside noise, so light sleepers may have trouble. The air conditioning also got noisy at times. There’s no lift, which could make carrying heavy bags to the second or third floor difficult. The good points are the spacious room, the location opposite JR station, a free onsen, and a free washing machine. Bring your own basics, since they don’t provide things like complimentary water, a comb, a shaver, or laundry spray or detergent. One note about storage: lockers at JR station cost 900 yen, while the cheaper lockers down the street cost 500 yen. I didn’t walk the extra 10 meters and regretted paying more.
