The room was clean and had that typical Japanese inn feel. Taneda kindly showed us around the room and explained the ryokan facilities. It’s peaceful here, about a 10-minute walk from the train station, with Aeon and Daiso mall nearby and Yunotubo street also within walking distance.

The service was 1000/10. The receptionist was friendly and helped with everything, even calling the rental car service center when the battery in my rented car died. That made the stay unforgettable. Our cozy room had a kotatsu and a private outdoor onsen, and the scenery was beautiful. They also offer free bicycle rental, and there are cats around. Highly recommend.

The ryokan is a bit away from the main sightseeing area, but that gives you a chance to explore the quiet city and lake by bike early in the morning. The rental is free, though you need to tell them at check-in. The rooms are very traditional Japanese style and have private onsens.

It’s a quiet, very relaxing place. The room has a private open-air onsen. There are no meals included, but an Aeon supermarket is close by. It is some distance from Yufuin station.

The room was spotless, and relaxing in the private onsen was great. The hotel sits in a peaceful spot with lovely views across rice fields and toward the mountains, and the staff were lovely. They have snacks and drinks, free bicycles, and a lounge with classic Famicom and Super Famicom games. The route on Google Maps can be misleading and add 10-15 minutes. From Yufuin station, cross the bridge as soon as you reach the river, then follow the river on the right. There are onsen signs along the river.
