Yukemurisansou

The setting really gives you the Yufuin hot spring experience the town is known for. We spent our second night here, and the view from the onsen was a real treat. It’s a little out of the way, but there’s a pickup service until 6:30pm. Just tell the front desk or the driver when and where you need collecting. I’ve forgotten his name, but he was professional, efficient, and could speak and understand English. Our room was spacious and clean, with a toilet and shower, toiletries, an enclosed balcony, a small fridge, airpot, hair dryer, TV, tea set, and air purifier. The entrance has a lounge and dining area with a fireplace, plus a coffee machine and water dispenser you can use at no extra cost. The gender separated public baths felt almost private when we went, since we were the only ones there. Breakfast was included in our booking, though we hadn’t tried it yet when I wrote this. At about $154 a night, it felt well worth the price.

The hot spring was lovely, and the staff were friendly. It’s a little away from the main street, but they offer pickup, which helped. We had a very comfortable stay.

The hot springs were excellent, and the lobby made a lovely impression. It’s been seven years since my last stay, but I still remember the place clearly. The rooms were very clean, and, as the name suggests, steam seemed to fill the inn. They served breakfast only, presented beautifully in a basket. The inn is a bit outside central Yufuin, which I actually liked. It’s one I’d be happy to stay at again.
