Shirasakiso

We rode our bikes to Shirasaki Ocean Park and then up to the hotel, which worked out well. The hill to reach it is very steep, but we just pushed the bikes. There’s parking right in front, and we could see the park from our room. The hotel is just around the corner from it, though there aren’t any shops or restaurants nearby. We booked a room with dinner and breakfast, which I’d recommend. There’s also a cooking facility in the room, so making your own meal seems possible. It’s a quiet family-run place built some time ago, so it’s not like the newer hotels. There are coin-operated washers and dryers, and we could go up to the fourth-floor rooftop to watch the sunset. The small public bath was fine for us, and the room also had its own shower and bath. The owner is lovely and very friendly. She cooked all the food herself and is a talented chef. Dinner was impressive, while breakfast was standard. A nice place to spend some quiet time if you're visiting the area.
