I got to bring my bicycle inside, and the landlady was friendly and loved to chat. Dinner was enormous: a grouper dish and a boat-shaped sea bream platter, more than I could finish. There was enka music on when I arrived and again before breakfast. I wondered what was going on, but it didn’t bother me enough to pay attention. When I headed out, they gave me lots of mandarin oranges to eat on the way. I was staying here during a bicycle trip.

That big bath was just what I needed after a tiring bicycle trip. The landlady was chatty, and dinner, with sea bream as the main dish, tasted great and left me completely full. Next time I’d like to have grouper hotpot.

I paid extra for the grouper hotpot course, but got frozen grouper bones and thawed grouper sashimi instead. The turban shell was pre-made. At breakfast they asked if shrimp was okay, so I expected spiny lobster miso soup. What I got was one simmered shrimp, about 3 cm long. 😂 It was thoroughly disgusting. They also pushed grouper fin sake pretty aggressively, so be careful.

We were three in the family, including our elementary school-aged child. The mother who runs the place was cheerful and friendly, which made the stay enjoyable. The price was reasonable, and the food was incredibly good 😋. The sashimi came in a portion too generous for three people to finish, and it was delicious. The sea bream rice was especially nice, with a fragrant, crispy bottom and perfectly cooked fish. The room is old but clean ◎, and the shared toilet and bathroom were also clean and well kept ◎. There’s a TV, a modern air conditioner, towels, bath towels, toothbrushes, and the other basics, which was reassuring. The rooms are each named after a fish, which is cute.
