The house has the basics you’d want, including a ski room, a kitchen for making your own food, and okay beds. The location isn’t great. It’s far from Yuzawa station, and the only way down is a bus that costs 500 Yen and comes every 1.5 hours. It’s always either about 20 minutes late or 10 minutes early. A taxi down costs 3000 Yen per person. If you need help from the owner or the place with anything that isn’t easily accessible, they won’t help. They don’t speak English and use Google Translate, and they don’t seem willing to help. I wouldn’t recommend this house unless you’re trying to save money.

The rooms are private and cozy, and the bathrooms and shower area are shared. It’s very basic, lower-priced lodging, more like a hostel, but it has what you need if you want to stay close to Kagura Ski Resort.

There were cockroaches and spider webs all over the house. No cleanliness at all. Stay away.

We rented the whole property, which made it a really great experience. Nice place.

A good option for a big group!
