The hostel has a nice community feel, and the bed was comfortable. Kaori and the rest of the staff were friendly. It’s also really close to public transport and the slopes. I’d stay here again.

Getting to the ski resorts was easy since shuttles go to all of them. Just ask the staff, who speak good English and know their stuff. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were good, and the heaters worked well. Breakfast was delicious, too. One thing to check before ordering: the menu prices didn’t match what we paid for food and beer. It was 50 yen extra, so ask about any added charges first. I’d recommend this place.

Kaori and her team looked after me so well during my few days there. Even the little kitty was great company! It’s the best backpacker place in town for a reasonable price. Thanks so much, I’ll be back before long!

We had a lovely two-night stay at Sansan. It’s just a few minutes’ walk from the train station, and a shuttle bus from there takes you to the ski resorts. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were nice. The chef deserves a special mention for making us an amazing dinner. I highly recommend this place!
