The power kept going out during the night, apparently because the circuit breaker was tripping. The whole hotel went completely dark, and it happened again and again. In the morning, the landlady called to me. I thought she might be apologizing about the outages, but instead she asked whether I wanted the bill, even though checkout was still some time away. That's all I have to say.
