Daikon-no-Hana

The staff spoke English very well and accommodated us even though we don't speak Japanese. They explained all the meals, which we appreciated. The villas were well maintained, service was impeccable, and everyone was very friendly. The clear explanations at the start were helpful, and then they brought us to our room, Sugi, where we could explore at our own pace. I liked being able to take my time and ease into a relaxing stay. The forest's natural beauty and the hot springs were incredible to see. The private spring overlooking the river was a highlight, and the water felt perfect. The food was delicious too. The morning zao herb salads were the best vegetables I've ever had, and the local ingredients really shone. The MOLK was refreshing, the rice flakes were excellent, and the fish was cooked beautifully. At dinner, the scallops and Sendai beef stood out and were perfectly prepared. We're used to Western food, so the texture of some dishes meant we couldn't eat everything, but we still enjoyed the culinary experience. Daikon no Hana made the start of our honeymoon perfect. We'll come back to see more of Tohoku's beauty, and will definitely visit again.

The landscape was beautiful, and all the onsens were great. The food and facilities were amazing, with a cozy, relaxing feel throughout. The staff were so kind ❤️❤️. I'll definitely come back someday.

The place felt peaceful and luxurious in a very natural way, and the photos don't do it justice. Breakfast had generous portions and lots of different flavor profiles. Dinner was great too, although it seemed a little light on protein, maybe because we eat more protein in the West. The four private onsens with open access were wonderful, and the in-room onsen was perfect. The service was amazing, and every staff member was great. Mikki was especially friendly and made the stay even more enjoyable. Japanese hospitality is already known for being high, but the staff here went beyond what I expected. They were always positive, courteous, friendly, and ready to help. We'd absolutely come back.

The rooms weren't huge or flashy, but they felt serene and homey. Private dining rooms and great cleanliness rounded out the stay, and the staff were incredibly hospitable and always ready to go the extra step. I appreciated how hard they tried to communicate with me even though I speak little Japanese. I've stayed in places that call themselves “7 Star” hotels, and this was better. Probably the best place I've ever been. I enjoyed every second and will definitely return, if you'll have me :)
