It's a lovely place to spend time with friends. Just be aware that the onsen is closed from 9 to 11 am, around checkout time. Also, they don't accept credit cards.

We had a fantastic view over the mountains and river, and I never got tired of looking at it. The onsen was wonderful too. I went four times during our four-day stay. The rooms could use a bit of a revamp, which is really the only complaint I can think of. The value was amazing, especially because of the exceptional staff. We were tired from all our travelling and probably demanding, asking lots of questions and being a bit dramatic, but everyone was patient, lovely, and accommodating. It was absolutely worth the stay, and I'd make the trip from Australia again.

Our room was warm when we arrived, and there were plenty of amenities in the lounge that we could take back with us. The tatami room was lovely, the view from it was incredible, and the location was nice. The onsen was a highlight, with lots of space, a perfect temperature, good water, and beautiful design. There was only one English-speaking staff member during our stay, but check-in and our questions were no problem. Everyone was helpful and friendly. A really unusual experience, and well worth staying for.

Even after two years, I still remember the breakfast. It's the most memorable one I've had, even compared with stays at places like Hyatt. The onsen was great for both its water and design, and the service was polite, kind, and helpful. The building and rooms suit the price, so I have no complaints there.
