Maina Highway Hotel

It’s right in the heart of Embu, with friendly staff. The rooms are a little small, but good value for the money. There’s parking for cars and bicycles on the bottom floor.

The place was quite unkempt and noisy. The bathroom floor was slippery, the sink was hanging by a wire, and lace was used to cover the net. The mattress and bed were poor quality, and the whole facility needs renovation.

There’s plenty of space here, parking, and accommodation options, and it’s in an accessible spot near the town center. Street parking costs extra. The staff, including the catering team, seem highly professional, and the place feels secure. The guard is trustworthy, so I felt safe with my car and other belongings. It’s a luxurious-feeling hotel that’s still reasonably priced, with a moderate bar and restaurant and good offers across many services. A good fit for a moderate lifestyle and budget. Bring a friend along.

There’s lots of room here, and people come for the food and good service. I had a good, memorable experience. Stop by, you might like it even more than I did. Leave them a couple of tips for the future, since things keep changing.
