Elegant rooms, fine dining, and top-notch service await at Pearl Spring Hotel, in a peaceful setting. A comfortable, luxurious choice for business or leisure.

The place is well staffed, and the meals are made fresh, though you can wait about 30 minutes, so it’s not ideal if you’re in a rush. Portions of chips are generous for a fairly reasonable 100sh per plate. The sweet tea and chapati are nice, and the liver can be good if you’re lucky enough to get some. They also have sleeping and conference facilities, but I haven’t used either, so I can’t review them.

I know Classic Hotel, in the same building, as Embu’s best budget option. The meals are nicely prepared, especially the chicken and beef stews they’re known for. Go early, though, or you may not get a seat. Solid 9.5. I don’t know any Pearl Spring Hotel.

The rates are amazingly affordable, and the reception ladies are lovely. I like the bathrooms, though the shower heads probably need replacing. I’d recommend it if you’re after somewhere that isn’t pricey.

The waiters were so friendly and polite, and the customer care was great. The food was clean, delicious, and world class. I had an awesome experience.
