We booked three months ahead, paid the agreed deposit, and received a pro-forma invoice. At first the contact was very friendly, and they gave us a reasonable price for three people. We agreed to settle the balance when we arrived. Although I’d already paid 50% upfront, my family was pressured to pay late at night on arrival. I had treated them to the trip and couldn’t join them, and we had agreed I would pay the rest the next morning. Once they were let into the room, they found it far from clean. The bathroom, toilet, and inside of the fridge weren’t up to what we’re used to in that area. The caretaker simply apologized, saying the team hadn’t cleaned. I cancelled the stay immediately, and they spent that one night there. We’d agreed the deposit would be returned minus one night’s charge, though that night wasn’t worth the money. The rest still hasn’t been refunded. They said the landlord didn’t have the amount available at the time. A month has now passed, and they no longer reply to my messages.

The home was clean, the food was good, and the pool was warm and cozy. I’d definitely recommend the beef burger.

The grounds are very well kept, and the place feels safe, clean, and quiet. It’s a 10-minute walk to the beach, and the employees are friendly. We like to cook, and Amani has all the kitchen equipment we needed. There’s no elevator, so stairs may be a problem for some. My only issue came when I asked to extend our stay. Three travel websites showed vacancies, but the front desk said there were none, and it seemed like they hadn’t even checked. All in all, it’s a very good place and I’d recommend it.

The view from the rooftop was breathtaking, and the buffet had a delicious mix of flavors. I went to the grand opening of Amani Angani restaurant, a halal spot in Diani, and the live entertainment got me on my feet a few times. The staff were friendly and attentive, with outstanding service. It was IMMACULATE!

The rooms are enormous for vacation accommodation that isn’t VRBO, and the common areas have most of the space, even though the bedrooms are small. The cleaning service was superb, and the price was very reasonable, so I’d give it five stars. If you want a luxury beach hotel, you’ll need to pay at least three times as much, and you still won’t get a room this big. The staff are very nice, though their English is limited. The road to the property is bone-jarring, and during our 11 days the electricity went out three times. The generator wasn’t set to switch on automatically. I’d definitely stay here again.
