Even though I was there for only one night, I had a fantastic stay. The service was outstanding, and from my room I could watch the sun set over the hills. What a beautiful view. A balcony would have made the room even better!

I've been to Saala three times. It's affordable, the staff are friendly, and the food is great, especially à la carte rather than the buffet. I do think the buffet needs more choices, particularly at breakfast. And please get rid of the brown towels! Getting there is easy now that the tarmac road reaches the hotel, and it's close enough to town for an evening walk. For sunrise and sunset views when you wake up, ask for a room on the 409, 509 or 609 side.

For the price, this is a clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay in Isiolo. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the restaurant serves guests around the clock. Getting in by road is a little tricky at the moment, but roadworks are underway and should improve access. After a long day of travel, checking in at Sala Hotel and unwinding is well worth it.
