Silver Bells Hotel Isiolo

Fine for a night, with an OK breakfast and safe parking, though there isn't much space to park. The rooms are basic, hot and stuffy without a fan, and need maintenance.

Thanks for the lift. The rest was disappointing: the property has deteriorated badly from the beautiful place it used to be. Everyone shares the same single TV channel, so there's no choice. In my bathroom, the toilet plumbing leaked and flooded the bathing area.

I've been here for three days and am meant to stay in Isiolo until Saturday. The rooms are well organized, and the accommodation department's service has been great, but the club and kitchen are a serious problem. Last night I asked if they could turn down the loud music, but nobody took my request into account. It goes on until around 2:30 or 3:00am, then we have to get up for work at 8:00. I'm so sleepy and annoyed that I had to cancel an early meeting because I couldn't concentrate. The cook needs to change his attitude too. The beef was half cooked, and when we complained, he insisted it was well cooked. The rest of the services are great.

The place is neglected and doesn't look like it's been renovated since opening. The reception stinks from washrooms that aren't being attended to. Room towels and white bedding have turned brownish, and the mosquito nets are covered in squashed bugs. Just dirty, dirty, dirty.
