There are very few detailed traveler reviews on major travel sites, so it’s hard to judge the current quality with confidence. I’ve seen complaints about cleanliness, comfort, facilities, and value, and one verified review called the stay “poor” and said service standards could be better. Other booking sites mention helpful staff and easy access to places around Kakamega, including Muliro Gardens and Masinde Muliro University. It’s off the Kakamega–Mumias Road and reasonably accessible. The motel has basic accommodation with Wi-Fi, a restaurant, bar, room service, and a garden setting.

The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff are friendly, and it’s very affordable. There’s secure, ample parking too. Even though it’s on the road, the surroundings are quiet, and Kakamega town is just a few minutes away, so I can stay out of the noise.

There’s plenty of parking, and it’s in a cool, peaceful spot outside town. The basic meals are OK, but I’d suggest Golf for better service.

The staff were hospitable, but the place is run down and filthy. It felt like nobody cared about the basics, such as tissue, soap, or a dustbin. There was a thick layer of dust in the rooms, which made the neglect hard to miss. Crazy.
