Masada Hotel

I was at Masada from 8th to 11th March 2026. The rooms were clean, and the staff I met, especially at reception and the front office, were both hospitable and professional.

The beds were uncomfortable and had bedbugs, and the rooms were old and in poor condition. There wasn't much variety in the food either. Nancy, the attendant who served us, was rude and unprofessional.

The food was the best part of our stay. We liked every meal the chef made, especially the vegetable stew on the first day. We arrived late, but the helpful staff promptly prepared a late lunch for us. The room was clean, yet badly in need of repairs and updates. The main door had gaps, used a physical key, and couldn't be secured from inside; there was no digital lock. The bathroom door kept sticking, and the tile trim around it was coming apart. A tile by the shower gutter was broken, and the aluminium shower door with its glass insert felt flimsy. The stand under the wash basin was broken, and some closet and cabinet doors were missing or wouldn't close fully. Our reservation had been made in advance through a travel agent. Given the state of the rooms, I honestly wouldn't have chosen to stay here. With repairs and updates, though, this place could be really good.

The room was okay, though it could use improvement. The bathroom smelled quite bad, and some of the furniture was a bit dusty. Room service was slow: my order was meant to arrive at a set time, but when it was 20 minutes late I had to call and ask about it. Then I waited another 10 minutes for the two medium samosas I'd ordered.
