The facilities felt below the standard I’m used to in the EU, but the welcome more than made up for it. Moses, the general manager, and the whole staff were attentive, courteous, and genuinely friendly. I spent four days at Abbey Resort while working with a nearby local school, and I’d happily stay there again when I’m back in Nakuru. Highly recommended.

It’s an affordable place, and the rooms are very clean. The bar is open and the property is wheelchair accessible. The TV is old and doesn’t have DSTV, but otherwise it’s a good place to stay.

The location is excellent, and with a little improvement this could be a great place. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, though, and the bedding wasn’t comfortable. The bed creaked whenever I turned over.

For 3000/- a night, I didn’t feel it was worth the price. The mosquito net was dirty, and the solar water heating wasn’t working properly. A cup of black tea cost 200/, with another 100/ for room service.
