I stayed at the Sooper Guest House with a large group, and still think of it fondly years later. The rooms were clean, the showers hot, and the location was ideal. Most of all, the staff stood out. Over our multi-week stay they helped with anything we needed and made sure we felt safe and comfortable. I'd highly recommend staying there.

For a guest house at this price level, four stars feels right. It's basic and low budget, but exceptionally clean. If you just need a stopover while travelling or somewhere to sleep on a backpacking trip, it should do the job.

The rooms were clean and the shower was hot, so it felt like decent value for the money. The downside was the noise. There seems to be a kitchen or something at the back, and the people there were loud.

It's an affordable place to sleep in kisumu town, but the interior needs work. The bedding and towels are old, and those old CRT televisions should be replaced too.
