It’s a homely, affordable and peaceful place, and I’d recommend it if they address a couple of things. The caretaker asked for the bath towels and sheets at 8 am, which felt very unprofessional. They should wait until guests check out before starting to clean. Also, there are no air vents, and the windows, including the bathroom windows, are always shut. The house feels stuffy and suffocating, without that clean-air feeling of Kitale. I’d especially like to see the air flow improved in the house and bedrooms.

The house is spacious and very clean, and I’d recommend it to other guests. I especially liked the self-catering setup. It’s an uncommon option, but a very good one during the Covid pandemic.

A peaceful, homely place that works really well for work. It’s very clean and nicely furnished, and Zaituni is a responsive host. I’ll definitely be back again and again.
