The beach felt almost entirely ours, with beautiful sand and great waves. There are plenty of water activities to try, and Rueben was great. Expect a lot of walking, so get ready to rack up the steps. Mike and Caroline made the stay feel really welcoming. Mike shared interesting stories, while Caroline was warm, funny and friendly. Everyone got to know one another and eat together, which added a lot to the homely atmosphere. This is a wonderful hidden gem in Kiwayu, well off the beaten track. It isn't a five-star place, and that's part of what lets you appreciate the nature and local cultural feel. The windows are open to amazing views, and the toilets and showers are basic. They made a real effort to cater for vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets, though sometimes meals got mixed up, so those details need extra care. Fantastic place, with really great vibes.

I loved having so much nature around, with plenty to do. You can walk to different snorkeling spots, or head out paddling and kayaking. It's an ideal place to take a week off. The setting is stunning, with breathtaking views and a homely feel. The food was fresh and delicious, and the well-trained chef could make a wide range of dishes. A truly magical place, and I can't recommend it enough.

The bandas are so idyllic, and the coastal views are some of the best around. The food is fresh and incredible, too. Mike and Caroline are stars, along with the rest of the staff, who were all friendly and helpful. A wonderful place everyone should visit.

The sustainable way of life is clear in the Eco camp and in the island community's general outlook. Looking around makes it easy to see why, and the community works hard to keep the island that way. Mike and his wonderful staff looked after us so well, with incredible food and a great choice of drinks. There are so many activities on offer that you could easily stay for weeks or even months. During my five-day stay at Mikes Camp, it ticked more boxes than I can describe. The island is magnificent, with a real sense of tranquillity. It felt like the paradise island I'd been looking for, and I know I'll return regularly when the stresses of life call for another well-earned break from reality.

One of the best weeks I've ever had. Mike made me feel like family, and the place was an untouched paradise. It brought Swiss family Robinson to mind. Such a great experience and amazing value for the money!
